New Delhi : The Election Commission Monday said no re-polling would be ordered in Bihar as no case was made out for this. The panel had sent six teams to the state after complaints of poll irregularities in six Lok Sabha constituencies.
“The teams are fully satisfied and do not find reason to conduct a re-poll in any constituency (in Bihar),” said Deputy Election Commissioner R. Balakrishnan here.
The panel’s decision to send an official team to Bihar to investigate alleged irregularities was criticized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
