New Delhi : Indian IT bellwether Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has bagged a deal worth $140 million from the state-run telecom giant Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL).
As per the multi-year contract, TCS will provide technical assistance to BSNL with a comprehensive range of telecom services.
“The engagement with BSNL is testimony to TCS’ ability to help customers experience certainty by leveraging our superior capabilities in systems integration using cutting edge technologies as well as its strong domain knowledge in the telecom sector,” S. Ramadorai, TCS CEO and managing director, said in a statement Thursday.
Under the deal, TCS would also be involved the installation of complex data networks across BSNL’s northern and western circles. The overall engagement involves managing the development, deployment and operations of services.
