Bangladesh Minister Dipu Moni leaves Delhi ending four-day visit

New Delhi : Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni left here this afternoon at the end of her first official visit, marked by warmth and cordiality and a commitment to strengthen bilateral relations.

During the bilateral talks, the two countries agreed to cooperate in various issues, including electricity, sharing waters of the Teesta river, connectivity and land boundary
demarcation.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Tariq A. Karim and Deputy High Commissioners in Delhi Ms. Mashfee Binte Shams,Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata Mission Syed Masud Mahmood
Khundoker and senior officials from the Ministry of ExternalAffairs, India, saw her off at the Indira Gandhi International
Airport.

Besides holding bilateral talks with Indian External AffairsMinister S.M. Krishna, the visiting minister also called on Prime
Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Union Minister for Finance PranabMukherjee and Union Minister for Water Resources and
Parliamentary Affairs Pawan Kumar Bansal.

Dipu Moni was accompanied by Foreign Secretary Mijarul Quayesand Director General (South Asia) Muhammad Imr.
