New Delhi : Confident that the various road and flyover projects undertaken in Delhi will be completed on time, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Wednesday said that when the Commonwealth Games visitors come here next year, they will remember the city as one with uninterrupted connectivity and beautiful flyovers.

Speaking at a function here, Dikshit said: “There will be a signal-free road Nehru Place to the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport by November this year as a third flyover on Outer Ring Road is going to be commissioned next month.”

“This will facilitate a large number of commuters in reaching their destination within the shortest possible time, since the flyover will ease traffic jams on roads and help people save fuel,” she added.

With the inauguration of two flyovers, at the Africa Avenue and Aruna Asaf Ali Marg intersection and at the Rao Tula Ram Marg and Benito Juarez Marg intersection, Dikshit said that the traffic movement on the outer Ring Road has become smoother.

“All of this will provide uninterrupted connectivity from the IGI airport to the Commonwealth Games Village. We are confident that the visitors during the Games will remember their stay in the ‘city of flyovers’,” she said.
