Patna: In a big jolt to Indian Muslims, eminent Islamic scholar and Mufissir-e-Qura’n, Maulana Akhlaq Husain Qasmi Dehlavi passed away yesterday.
Maulana was not only a best Islamic speaker but also a good writer. He has been general secretary of Jami’at Ulema-e- Hind. He was rector of Jamia Rahimia, Mehdian in Delhi. He had much interest in Tafseer-e-Qura’n and has been delivering Tafseer for long time in Delhi. He has written many books on different topics which gained appreciation by the people.
In a statement, Sajjada Nashin, Khanqah Rahmani of Munger, Maulana Syed Mohammad Wali Rahmani, expressed his grief on the demise of Maulana Akhlaq Hussain Qasmi.
Terming it as personal loss, he said: “Maulana Akhlaq Hussain Qasmi had very close relation with our family and also Jamia Rahmani, Munger. He was a fan of Amir-e-Shariat Maulana Minnatullah Rahmani. His death is really very painful incident for us.”
Maulana Rahmani also said that with the demise of Maulana Akhlaq Hussain Qasmi Indian Muslims lost a prominent writer, speaker and mufissir. It is very difficult to find his alternative and successor.
A prayer meeting was also held in Jamia Rahmani Khanqah of Munger which was attended by students, teachers and workers of Jamia along with many guests.
