Srinagar : The Kashmir Valley was Friday rocked by yet another moderate earthquake, the second in the past one week, the local met office here said.
“The earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit Kashmir at 11.14 p.m. Thursday night. The epicentre was on the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border,” an official at the met office said.
The quake forced people out of their beds into the biting cold. There were, however, no reports of damage to life and property.
On Oct 23, exactly a week ago, another earthquake had rocked the region.
