New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Tuesday termed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) no-confidence motion against her government, accusing it of falling on all fronts, a “total waste of time”.

The no-confidence motion, moved by BJP leader V.K. Malhotra in the legislative assembly, said the common man was suffering under the rule of Dikshit-led Congress government as it has failed on every issue and is pursuing “anti-people” policies.

Replying to the no-confidence motion, several Congress legislators attacked BJP for being “directionless” and claimed the opposition party had no issue at all.

Dikshit did not reply to the motion Tuesday and is expected to answer to her government’s criticism Wednesday.

However, while talking to the reporters outside the house, she said: “The allegations are baseless and it is their political compulsion that they have brought no-confidence motion. It is totally a wastage of time. We are doing our work and people of Delhi will decide after four years.”
