A division bench of acting Chief Justice Madan B. Lokur and Justice Mukta Gupta asked the government to provide infrastructure to the board and file a report on the matter within a week.

The board had filed a petition in court highlighting problems faced by it due to lack of infrastructure.

In the petition, the counsel for the board said that it did not even have a premises or building or a court room.

“The board does not have its own staff and borrows most of its staff on a part-time basis from the copyright office,” said counsel said.
