Abu Dhabi : An anti-human trafficking panel has been set up in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to care for victims and create awareness on the issue, a top official has said.
The panel will look into human trafficking and launch awareness programmes on the crime, and will ensure that victims in shelters are well protected, Brig. Ahmed Mohammed Nakhaira Al Muharrami, director of the human rights department said Tuesday.
Work is under way to set up a database on human rights issues, which will monitor regional and international development, he said.
