New Delhi: The Delhi government announced Tuesday that the electricity tariff in the capital will remain unchanged for the time being.
The Delhi government announced in a statement that the tariff in various categories would stay at last year’s level.
Earlier, the government received some representations from the three distribution companies on the issue of severe cash flow constraints affecting their ability to purchase power in 2010-11.
The statement added that the government felt that the issues raised by distribution companies are serious, and has accordingly directed the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) to examine these issues and to submit its advice.
