Oyesbaniji Kamoru Funday, 22, was arrested red-handed at a shopping mall.

According to A.K. Tripathi, Superintendent of Police (City), Funday was residing at Madangir in Delhi and had come to the GIP mall for shopping Thursday.

Funday had previously shopped for Rs. 42,000 and Rs 1.14 lakh on two different occasions using a fake credit card. Getting suspicious, a retail outlet’s staffer informed the police about him.

He was arrested Thursday when he again went for shopping using the same credit card.

The police recovered three passports and four credit cards from his possession.

“We are verifying the other documents available with him. He may be involved in other incidents, too,” Tripathi said.

A case was registered against him under sections 420, 466, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code at the Sector-39 police station.
