Mexico City : A newspaper editor was shot dead in western Mexico.
Family members and colleagues told EFE that the body of Hugo Olivera was found inside his pickup truck Tuesday on a road between the towns of Tepalcatepec and Aguililla in Michoacan state.
After his body was found, unknown intruders entered his office and removed hard drives from computers, they said.
The 27-year-old victim was the son of David Olivera, founder of El Dia de Michoacan newspaper.
Besides editing that publication, Hugo ran the regional news agency ADN.
He was last seen alive at 9.00 p.m. Monday, when he left his office in Apatzingan.
