By IRNA,
Berlin : German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle on Tuesday warned of an imminent collapse of peace talks between Israelis and Palestinians after Sunday night’s expiration of the Zionist regime’s self-imposed freeze on West Bank settlement construction.
The minister expressed hope that the peace process could still be somehow saved.
He stressed that the failed peace negotiations would have a very negative impact on the region and beyond.
Westerwelle urged both parties to show flexibility on the issue.
The 10-month building freeze imposed by Benjamin Netanyahu in the West Bank ended at midnight Sunday.
