Haryana invites suggestions for its 2025 plan

Chandigarh : The town and country planning (TCP) department in Haryana has invited objections and suggestions for the Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex Draft Development Plan-2025, a state government spokesman said here Saturday.

He said the plan was notified Oct 4 and objections and suggestions could be filed within 30 days before the TCP director in Chandigarh.

He said that the plan has been prepared to accommodate four million (40 lakh) people by 2025. An area of 15,148 hectares has been reserved for residential purpose.

The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and licensed colonisers have already developed residential area of 8,000 hectares in various residential sectors. The area, developed in public and private sectors, would accommodate around two million (20 lakh) people.

Over 5,441 hectares land has been reserved for industrial use. The Haryana State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) and HUDA have already developed an area of 1,246 hectares in the complex.

A detailed plan has been worked out for highway and road links to the complex and also to link it to the Delhi Metro project.
