"The manner police personnel opened fire on the protesting Muslims proves the presence of terrorists in the ranks and files of Andhra police who implement their agenda as soon as they get an opportunity," he alleged holding the Congress government of Andhra fully responsible for it.

He called upon President A.P.J. Abul Kalam to suspend the erring police personnel as well as Police Commissioner and D.G. and book them in accordance with law for killing seven innocent and unarmed persons.

Citing the tactful dealing of police with the protestors of Dera Sacha Sauda in Punjab where not a single protestor was killed, Maulana Ludhianvi criticised the system's hostile attitude towards Muslims.

He also came heavily down upon Congress president Sonia Gandhi for issuing no direction to the Congress government in Andhra to take action against what he called police terrorism.

He said Congress had won parliamentary elections and emerged in a position to lead the UPA only with the support of Muslims and on the promise to provide safeguard for minorities and today Muslims are being targeted in the Congress regime.
