Justice Y. D. Shinde of Special MCOCA court deferred the judgment till March, 10, citing that he could not read the case of the 9 accused completely, therefore will not be able to deliver a judgment on the bail plea today.

Hafiz Gulzar Azmi, Secretary, Jamiat Ulema-I-Hind, Maharashtra, while talking to TwoCircles.net said: “Judge of the special MCOCA court has deferred the judgment till March 10.” He also informed that he along with Adv. Mubin Solkar, Adv. Khalid Azmi and Shaikh Shamshul Huda were present in the court.

Meanwhile, Wajahat Habibuallh, the newly appointed chairman of the National Commission for Minorities today said he would soon meet the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram as well as the CBI Director to take up the case of nine youths from Malegaon arrested for alleged involvement in the 2006 blast.

After RSS pracharak and terror accused Swami Aseemanand confessed before a magistrate on Dec. 18 last year that blasts in Malegaon, Samjhauta Express, Ajmer and Mecca Masjid were carried out by the members of Hindu extremist group, the nine Muslim youths arrested on the charge of involvement in 2006 Malegaon blast saw a ray of hope to get justice.

They filed plea in the special MCOCA court on 17 January 2011 seeking bail on the basis of confessional statement of Swami Aseemanand.

However, so far the court has fixed several dates for judgment and it was expected that on March 7 the court would pronounce the ruling but again it has been deferred till March 10.

A serial blast rocked the Muslim dominated Malegaon on September 08 in 2006 when people were celebrating Shab-e-Barat, a Muslim festival. The blasts took place at Hamidia Masjid and Mushawarat Chowk killing 32 people and injuring more than 300.
