New Delhi: Delhi Police Thursday said they are working on definite lines despite no witness coming forward in the murder of 20-year-old Delhi University student Radhika Tanwar, who was shot dead Tuesday outside her college in south Delhi.
“We have found certain vital clues and have narrowed down our investigation and we have definite lines on which we are working,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) H.G.S. Dhaliwal.
After the sketch of the victim’s alleged stalker was released Wednesday, two people have given the police relevant information which has helped significantly “but still no witness has come forward despite our requests”, said Dhaliwal.
“We would request anyone who was present there at the time of the crime to come forward and talk to us maybe discretely. Otherwise, the investigations would be long drawn,” added Dhaliwal, expressing confidence about arresting the killer.
A resident of Naraina area in west Delhi, Tanwar was a student of Ram Lal Anand College, located in Shantiniketan. She was crossing a foot overbridge near Dhaula Kuan with her friends when a man suddenly shot her in the neck from behind and disappeared into the crowd of students and office-goers around 10 a.m.
