In 2005, Nesterova organised a criminal group in the Nizhny Novgorod region that hired women to work as waitresses in Spanish bars that actually turned out to be brothels.

“After arriving in Spain, they were brought to Nesterova, who told them they had to repay their transportation costs and were forced into prostitution in order to pay off the debt,” the statement said.

If convicted, the woman faces from eight to 15 years in prison.
