Moga (Punjab): The Congress will soon bring out a charge sheet against the misrule of the Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) coalition government in Punjab, state party chief and former chief minister Amarinder Singh said Monday.
The charge sheet will list the regime’s all failures and excesses and atrocities committed on the Congress workers during the last four and a half years of the Akali Dal-BJP rule in the state, he said, addressing party workers at Moga town, 200 km from Chandigarh.
Amarinder Singh said the party was currently preparing the charge sheet and it will be completed very soon.
Without going into the details, he said it will mainly list the government’s failure on economic, agriculture, law and order, unemployment and other issues concerning the state.
Talking to reporters later, Amarinder Singh said he has asked all the district presidents across the state to document the cases of atrocities and excesses, as also false cases, against Congress workers.
He said if the Congress is voted to power in assembly elections scheduled for next year, it will constitute a commission of inquiry to be headed by a high court judge to probe each and every case of excess on the party workers.
