Moscow : Russia Friday condemned the recent terror attacks in Iraqi capital Baghdad, Xinhua reported. In a statement, Russian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the series of crimes, which killed about 40 and injured over 80 people in various districts of Baghdad in recent days.
“We present condolences to the families of the dead and express our sympathy with the injured and their families,” the statement said.
“We are confident that there is no excuse for terror acts, no matter which motives their organisers and perpetrators may refer to,” it stressed.
Russia said suppression of terrorism requires more intensive efforts in the achievement of national accord based on a comprehensive inter-Iraqi dialog.
“This is the way to bring a normal life, security and stability to Iraq and to strengthen genuine sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Iraqi state,” it said.
A wave of bombings and shootings across Iraq in the past few days underscored the tenuous security situation months before the scheduled pullout of US forces.
