Patna: Launching tirade against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Lalu Prasad didn’t mince a word on Monday when he was addressing a gathering of several thousand people in Forbesganj. Nitish is sitting in the lap of BJP. If people do not get united against the present regime, Nitish will turn Bihar into a Gujarat, roared Lalu.
He was leading a rally of his Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) from Patna to Bhajanpur village to highlight the injustice to the victims of June 3 police firing. Before addressing the rally, former Bihar chief minister and former railway minister Lalu visited homes of the four firing victims and gave Rs one lakh to each family. He also gave Rs 10,000 to each injured.
“The world has cried over the brutal firing that killed an infant, a pregnant woman and two youths but Nitish government has not moved. Our fight will start from Forbesganj,” said Lalu and urged people to get united against the Nitish regime.
“The people must get united against the Nitish government otherwise he will turn Bihar into a Gujarat. There is little difference between Narendra Modi and Nitish,” said Lalu.
Others who addressed the rally included Opposition Leader in Bihar Assembly, Abdul Bari Siddiqi, Kishanganj MLA Akhtarul Iman besides some members of the victim families.
