New Delhi : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi are likely to attend the opening session of the Indian Youth Congress convention Nov 28.
Sources said while Gandhi is expected to address around 8,000 Youth Congress elected office bearers from 20 states Monday morning, the prime minister may also come for the event, which is being seen as the biggest since Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi took charge of the youth wing and decided to democratise it.
The two-day meet will discuss resolutions on economic, political and youth affairs. Senior ministers and party leaders are expected to explain nitty-gritty of policy issues to the newly elected IYC office bearers so they may be able to deal with them in their states.
