Kolkata : A fire broke out at a timber godown Monday evening near Nimtala area of north Kolkata, said Fire Services Minister Javed Khan.
There was, however, no casualty or injury to anyone in the godown fire that occurred on Strand Road, a major thoroughfare, Khan said.
Eleven fire tenders were pressed into service and they managed to douse the blaze in a short time.
