Warsaw : About 150 Polish policemen from Tarnopol, east Poland, will aid police in Lvov, Ukraine, during the Euro 2012 Football Championships, Tarnopol police chief Wiktor Sak has revealed.
The officers are currently undergoing training in English language. During the tournament in Ukraine and Poland, they will spend 16 days in Lvov aiding local police during the event.
Sak said the English courses for the team were being conducted by professionals. He added that the officers would be additionally equipped with manuals containing popular English and Ukrainian phrases.
Lvov will host games involving Germany, Denmark and Portugal, Xinhua reports.
The 16-nation Euro 2012 soccer championships, slated for June 8- July 1, 2012, will take place in the four Polish cities of Warsaw, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Poznan as well as the four Ukrainian cities of Kiev, Lvov, Donetsk and Kharkov.
