New Delhi : Strong westerly winds cooled down the capital Wednesday as the maximum temperature dipped to 26.3 degrees Celsius — four notches below the average for this time of the year.
The minimum temperature was two notches below average at 13.5 degrees.
According to the met department, the winds are expected to continue Thursday.
“Thursday should have mostly clear skies with strong surface winds during the day. The maximum and minimum temperature should be 30 and 12 degrees Celsius, respectively,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.
The humidity levels peaked at 60 percent while the minimum was 20 percent.
Tuesday’s maximum temperature was 34.5 degrees Celsius, five notches above average, while the minimum was 21 degrees Celsius, also five notches above average.
