Kiev : A World War II mortar shell was discovered Friday near a stadium in Ukraine’s Lvov city where Euro 2012 matches are to be held, the interior ministry said.
The shell was found by construction workers tidying up the area around the stadium and was later defused. No one was hurt.
The first match at the Lvov stadium will be played Saturday between Germany and Portugal.
