Tripoli : Algerian Chief of Staff Gen. Ahmed Qayed Saleh arrived here Saturday on a visit to Libya during which he will attend a joint military exercise due to be held on an selected area on the Libyan border as part of military cooperation between the two countries armies.
In a statement the Algerian chief of staff expressed the hope that the visit would benefit the two sides. He described the military exercise which will be staged tomorrow as a good step.
Meanwhile the Algerian defence ministry said Gen Saleh’s visit to Libya comes in the context of the continued enhancement of military cooperation between the two countries adding it will provide an opportunity for talks on matters of mutual concern.
