The University of Cambridge organised the course for officers of the rank of deputy inspector general and inspector general in collaboration with the O.P. Jindal Global University here, a Jindal statement said.

Certificates were awarded to the officers at a ceremony held in Cambridge, attended by the faculty members from both universities.

The Cambridge-Jindal IPS Training Programme has trained nearly 500 senior IPS officers in less than three years.

The course provides opportunities for deep insights for senior Indian officers to engage with researchers and experts in various fields relating to criminology, criminal justice and policing.

Said Neil Wain, director for the programme and a former assistant chief constable with Greater Manchester Police: “This is a great opportunity for the sharing of knowledge and experience between the two countries.”
