Beijing : China and the US are expected to sign several trade pacts and memoranda Tuesday during the 18th Sino-US Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade (JCCT) meet here.
Following the JCCT meet, the two countries will engage in talks at various bilateral platforms such as the 3rd China-US Strategic Economic Dialogue, and the 5th Strategic Dialogue, a release by China’s Ministry of Commerce said.
Chinese vice premier Wu Yi, the US secretary of commerce Carlos Gutierrez and US trade representative Susan Schwab will preside over the meeting, the ministry said.
The JCCT, formed in 1983, has been serving as a platform for both the countries to address their trade and market access issues.
