New Delhi: Khudai Khidmatgar, started the anti liquor campaign on the occasion of third anniversary of the organization.
The organisation was ‘revived’ two years ago on January 20, death Anniversary of Khudai Khidmatgar founder Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan, popularly known as the Frontier Gandhi, by Delhi based social activist Faisal Khan, under the guidance of Tara Gandhi Bhattacharjee. Marking the beginning of the second year the Kidmatgar launched 21 ‘uniformed’ volunteers from 12 states and named as Shanti Ke Sipahi.
In its third year the organisation aims to organise a national campaign against alcohol, seen as the evil behind several petty crimes, besides being the main reason for various fatal diseases. Participants gather at the Rajghat to take ‘oath’ against alcohol.
