Mechanic held for raping woman in Gurgaon

Gurgaon : A motor mechanic was arrested here for raping a married woman, police said Sunday.

Jagdeep Singh, 42, a resident of Khandsa near sector 37 of Gurgaon, was arrested for sexually assaulting a 21-year-old married woman.

The victim, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, lived with her husband in a rented house at Khandsa, police said.

“She was called by the accused at his shop on the pretext of interview for a job and was taken to a secluded room and raped,” Madan Singh, chief of Kherki Daula police station, told IANS.

The accused was Sunday presented before a magistrate who sent him to judicial custody for 14 days, police said.
