UAE group to spend 60 mn dirhams for Ramadan

    Dubai: The Beit Al Khair Society in the UAE will spend around 60 million dirhams to fulfill the needs of people during the holy month of Ramadan.

    Abdeen Taher Al Awadi, general manager of the society, said this year the Ramadan basket will include ration, cheques, and Zakat al-Fitr.

    For the first time, coupons for boys’ clothing will also be given to beneficiary families.

    He said the society has already begun distributing coupons for Ramadan ration, and around 6,400 families will benefit from the programme
