Hyderabad : YSR Congress party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy Tuesday paid floral tribute to his father and late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy at his “samadhi” (grave) at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.
Accompanied by his mother Y.S. Vijayamma, wife Y.S. Bharathi and other family members, Jaganmohan Reddy participated in a prayer meeting at the “samadhi” in the family estate.
Jagan, as the MP from Kadapa is popularly known, paid floral tributes to YSR, who died in a helicopter crash four years ago.
This was Jagan’s first visit outside Hyderabad after his release on conditional bail last week. The court Monday allowed him to visit Idupulapaya but refused to give permission for going to Guntur, where the young leader wanted to address a public meeting to oppose proposed bifurcation of the state.
Jagan was released on bail last Tuesday after spending nearly 16 months in jail in a disproportionate assets case. The CBI special court had directed him not to leave Hyderabad without its permission.
Jagan reached Kadapa by a train from Hyderabad early Tuesday. Hundreds of his supporters welcomed him at the railway station and later at Idupulapaya.
