Cairo: A military helicopter crashed in Egypt’s North Sinai Saturday, a military spokesperson said.
“Search for the crew is underway,” the official said, adding that the crash took place at Al-Kharrouba area in North Sinai and the authorities were currently investigating the reasons, Xinhua reported.
The helicopter crashed due to “technical reasons” at Al-Shallaq area in North Sinai’s Sheikh Zuweid city Saturday morning, an official Al-Ahram news website reported.
“The helicopter had a technical problem which led the pilot parachute for his live,” Al-Ahram report said, quoting witnesses.
