New Delhi : The Delhi assembly was Friday adjourned sine die by Speaker M.S. Dhir after the house voted 42 to 27 to not allow the tabling of the Jan Lokpal bill.
The AAP government-backed Jan Lokpal bill has not been tabled in the house as most legislators were against it. A total of 42 members were against its tabling while 27 – all of the Aam Aadmi Party – were for it.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal hinted at his resignation when he said that this “seems like our last (assembly) session”.
