Amman, Jordan : An earthquake registering 4.0 on the Richter scale was felt in parts of the Jordanian capital Saturday, local officials and residents said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage, the Associated Press reported.
The earthquake struck at 7:30 a.m. local time (0430 GMT) and was centered 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) northeast of Amman, said Darwish Jaser, assistant director general of Jordan’s seismology department.
