The report said Bush was invited a few months ago, but only recently has Washington confirmed his participation.

Ha’aretz added that numerous world leaders and leading scientists will be invited to attend the convention over the next few days.

Bush will visit Israel and the Palestinian territory next week as part of a regional tour that will cover seven states in nine days, during which the U.S. president is expected to press Israel and Palestinians to accelerate their recently revived peace talks.
