New Delhi : The national capital experienced stormy winds and thundershowers following a warm day, with the maximum temperature recorded at 39.3 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season’s average. The Met office has forecast a cloudy Monday.
“Thunder conditions will keep occurring in some areas in the night,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Delhi University student Simi Sharma told IANS “the blinding rain came suddenly”.
The day’s minimum temperature was recorded two notches below the season’s average at 24.2 degrees Celsius.
The maximum and minimum temperatures Monday are likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Saturday was warm. However, rain brought some respite from the scorching heat in the evening. The maximum temperature was recorded a notch above average at 40.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled a notch below average at 25.5 degrees Celsius.
