Thiruvananthapuram : Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Wednesday said his government will wait and see what the proposed Prime Minister’s Office in every state is going to do.
“I read in the media about this proposal by the new central government that there will be a PMO in every state. We have a policy not to come out with statements when something is heard. It’s too premature to make any sort of comments at this stage,” Chandy told reporters after the weekly cabinet meeting.
“Today the stage is such that it’s no longer difficult for a state to get an appointment in Delhi with ministries or top officials. Anyway all reports of a PMO in every state are just media reports. We will wait,” he said.
Chandy said he will visit Delhi June 2 and make efforts to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“If I am able to meet him June 2, it would be a purely courtesy visit. Since there are a few pending issues for the state that has to be cleared by the centre, I will seek a fresh appointment for a later date,” he said.
