Abu Dhabi : Visiting US President George W. Bush has praised the progress achieved by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in various fields calling it ‘wonderful’, WAM news agency reported Monday.
The president said that the UAE has achieved progress in all areas, particularly in the fields of education and alternative energy.
Bush, who is in Abu Dhabi as a part of his Middle East tour, made the remarks Sunday during a tour of the Masdar Initiative exhibition staged at the Emirates Palace Hotel in the UAE Capital.
The US president was accompanied by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi, Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sultan Al Jaber, CEO of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar).
Bush added that the UAE has invested and used its oil wealth judiciously and expressed hope that Americans would broaden their knowledge about the UAE.
