Lucknow: Jahangirabad Media Institute (JMI), Barabanki has announced admission for diploma and various certificate courses, open for students who have finished class 12 or graduation in any stream.
The following diploma and certificate courses are being offered:
· Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication (One Year)
· Diploma in Electronic Media & Film Production (One Year)
· Diploma in Video editing, Graphics & Animation (OneYear)
· Certificate Courses in Photography, Videography, Video Editing, Anchor reporting, Radio Jockey (3 months)
The last date for application is January 15.
JMI is a recognized Learning Centre of the Directorate of Distance Education, Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (MGAHV), a central university in Wardha, India.
“We have introduced these courses so as practicing journalists and students who are interested in pursuing career in journalism can take maximum benefit.We have 100% placement success.Besides providing training, we will also provide them opportunities to intern with media houses,” said Zubair Khan, Director JMI.
Located within the campus of Jahangirabad Institute of Technology (JIT), JMI was set up in 2005 in the sprawling campus of Jahangirabad Fort to facilitate professional training in the field of media and entertainment. The institute is located in the historic fort of Jahangirabad, in Barabanki District, about 40 km from Lucknow city.
Although located at hinterland, JMI is equipped with modern technology, state of the arts infrastructure, a team of experienced and dynamic faculty, the media practitioners and comprehensive course materials. JMI has been running degree and master courses in several branches of media and journalism for several years now and has the state of art facility in electronic media and film making with separate radio and TV studios at its campus, besides well-equipped library.
Expressing his happiness at the launch of new courses, Chairman of JMI, Manzoor Ghori said that the institute has functional and residential infrastructure at the historic Jahangirabad Fort.
Jahangirabad Educational Trust Group of Institutions (JETGI) is promoted by US based association of successful professionals of Indian origin, Indian Muslim Relief and Charities (IMRC).
JETGI has been offering engineering and management programs at JIT campus since 2009. Several new programs are being added aimed at making JIT a full-fledged university over the next few years.
