La Paz : An Iranian governmental delegation begins a visit to Bolivia on Wednesday, to analyse the development of bilateral agreements in energy.
About 14 technicians headed by ambassador Ali Eslamian Koupaei will be welcomed today by Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca, and meet with President Evo Morales, according to the agenda.
The Iranian officials are looking at the agreements signed in La Paz last September between Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad, and his Bolivian counterpart.
In the meeting, Ahmadineyad and Morales endorsed three memorandums of understanding, a framework agreement, and a joint declaration on trade and energy projects estimated at 1.10 billion dollars.
Hydrocarbons, energy, agriculture, and industry are the main cooperation areas.
The two sides also agreed to create a bilateral technical committee to develop trade, cooperation, and technical assistance.
