DUBAI, Feb 18 (Bernama) — United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has endorsed the new UAE cabinet as presented by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
The reshuffle saw the creation of a new portfolio for foreign trade while matters pertaining to industrial affairs at the former Ministry of Finance and Industry have been shifted to the Ministry of Economy.
The Ministry of State for Cabinet Affairs is now known as the Ministry for Cabinet Affairs.
Other highlights of the new cabinet line-up are the inclusion of two other women, bringing to four the number of women ministers, as well as the creation of three ministries of state.
As he endorsed the new cabinet, Sheikh Khalifa expressed his well wishes for the success of the new cabinet. He also extended his gratitude to the outgoing members for their service while in office, said WAM.
