A missile hit a house believed to be an Islamic seminary in Azam Warsak area of the agency, intelligence sources told KUNA.

They said the attack left at least twelve people dead, including foreigners.

This is the second such attack in the Waziristan region, which took place amid intensifying insurgency in the bordering tribal region.

Earlier, a missile attack in Mir Ali village of North Waziristan agency killed at least 11 people.

Intelligence sources said that at least three missiles were fired by the coalition troops in Afghanistan.

One missed its target, they said, adding that one hit a suspected hideout of Taliban militants and one the Madrassah.
