India defeated hosts Australia 2-0 in the best-of-three finals this week. India have never earlier won the annual triangular series since they first took part in 1980-81, though they had reached the finals on three occasions. This is their third big title win after the Twenty World Championship last September in South Africa and the under-19 World Cup in Kuala Lumpur Sunday.
