The Pakistan’s coalition parties, which gripped power from the Feb. 18 elections, held a meeting on Wednesday discussion the formation of the new government, News Network International (NNI) reported.

The coalition partners, including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP),Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), The Awami National Party (ANP) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), agreed to complete the formation of the federal cabinet in three phases.

“With Pakistan’s new Premier Yousaf Raza Gillani set to seek a vote of confidence on Saturday, the first 20 cabinet members are likely to be sworn in on the same day,” the NNI said.

Under the agreed formula, the coalition partners will get representation in the cabinet according to the proportion of their seats in the National Assembly and Senate, said the report.
