Chennai : Rahul Dravid Saturday crossed the landmark of 10,000 Test runs en route to his 25th century that came against South Africa at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium here.
Dravid became only the sixth batsman and third Indian after Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar to reach the milestone.
Dravid touched the magic figure when he reached 80 on the fourth day of the first Test. He got out to Makhya Ntini after adding another 31 runs.
The 35-year-old former captain is playing in his 120th Test and averages 55.11. He made his debut at Lord’s against England in 1996.
