Jerusalem : Israeli Infrastructure Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer said Monday that any Iranian attack on Israel would lead to “the destruction of Iran.”
The former defense minister made the remarks during a visit to the Infrastructure Ministry war room, which is being prepared as part of the ongoing five-day nation-wide civil defense drill.
“An Iranian attack will prompt a severe reaction from Israel, which will destroy the Iranian nation,” he was quoted by local daily The Jerusalem Post as saying, adding Iran “is definitely aware of our strength.”
Israeli-Iranian relations remain tense as the Jewish state has vowed to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons while top officials of the Islamic state have repeatedly made remarks against Israel.
