Bangkok : A low-cost Bangladesh airline was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok Tuesday after one of the passengers behaved in a threatening manner, media reports said.
The GMG Airlines 042 flight from Kuala Lumpur to Dhaka, made the emergency landing at Bangkok’s Don Mueng Airport shortly after 10 a.m., airport authorities said.
The flight was reportedly forced to land in Bangkok after a Bangladeshi passenger threatened the flight attendants, Thai TV reported.
The man was taken into custody for questioning.
Thai authorities were not immediately available to clarify what had happened on the plane.
The pilots first asked for an emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok’s new international airport, but airport officials asked them to land instead at domestic Don Mueng airport.
