MacKeown, who brought Scarelette Keeling’s body back with her to Britain, said it had some internal organs missing, the Daily Mail reported Monday.

The missing organs – said to include kidneys, uterus and stomach – were reported over the weekend after British forensic scientists conducted a third autopsy on the body.

The previous two post-mortems were conducted in India.

The Daily Mail said MacKeown was furious because nobody in India had sought her permission to remove Scarlette’s organs.

Authorities in Goa, where Scarlette was found raped and murdered on a beach in February, said that taking parts of the body for tests was a part of the post-mortem procedure, the paper reported.

MacKeown said Sunday at her home near Bideford, Devon, that she planned to return to India to seek an explanation.

“I can’t begin to imagine why somebody would want to take her uterus,” she said.
